Introduction

At Conway Cladding Ltd we are committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. We recognise that mental health is as important as physical health and that a supportive and inclusive working environment is key to fostering employee satisfaction, productivity, and engagement.

Purpose

This policy is designed to:

  • Create a workplace culture that promotes mental wellbeing and prevents work-related stress.
  • Provide support for employees experiencing mental health issues.
  • Raise awareness and understanding of mental health across the organisation.
  • Encourage open discussions about mental health and wellbeing without stigma or judgment.
  • Ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect and improve the mental health of all employees.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and workers of Conway Cladding Ltd regardless of position or length of service.

Our Commitment

Conway Cladding Ltd. is committed to:

  • Raising Awareness: increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues.
  • Providing Signposting: Offering support to access to mental health support services, including counseling, and occupational health services.
  • Reducing Stigma: Creating an open environment where employees feel comfortable discussing mental health concerns without fear of discrimination or stigma.

 

 

  • Managing Work-Related Stress: Ensuring that workloads and work environments are managed to prevent stress, and regularly reviewing working practices to promote mental wellbeing.
  • Offering Flexible Work Options: Providing flexible working arrangements where possible to help employees manage personal and work-related stressors.

Employee Responsibilities

Employees are encouraged to:

  • Take care of their own mental health and wellbeing by engaging in healthy practices both at work and at home.
  • Be supportive and considerate of colleagues who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Speak up if they feel overwhelmed, stressed, or in need of assistance, either to their leader or through management.

Management Responsibilities

Managers have a responsibility to:

  • Promote a healthy work environment that encourages mental wellbeing.
  • Be vigilant to signs of stress, anxiety, or other mental health issues in their teams and offer support.
  • Address and, where possible, resolve workplace issues that may affect employees’ mental health.
  • Encourage open communication about mental health and wellbeing in one-to-one meetings or team discussions.

Confidentiality

All discussions regarding mental health will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Information will only be shared on a need-to-know basis to provide appropriate support and in compliance with data protection laws.

 

 

Monitoring and Review

This policy will be regularly reviewed to ensure it remains relevant and effective. Conway Cladding Ltd. will monitor its implementation, gather feedback from employees, and make any necessary adjustments.
